01Who these terms are for
These terms apply when you turn on “Teach on ShikkhaSathi”. Your account stays the same: you can keep learning and teaching with it. You are responsible for everything you publish.
02Your content and our licence
- You keep the copyright in your courses. ShikkhaSathi does not own your work.
- You give ShikkhaSathi a non-exclusive licence to host, store, stream and show your content to students, and to promote your courses, for example in search, on course pages and in our marketing. You can still publish the same content elsewhere. The licence ends when your content is removed, except that students keep the access described below.
03What you promise
- You declare that you own the content you upload, or that you have permission to use it. That includes slides, notes, past questions, images and music.
- You will not upload material that breaks your institution’s rules, shares confidential exam papers, or contains anything illegal, hateful or misleading. Each time you submit a course, you confirm this again.
04No claims about exam questions
You must never claim that a question is guaranteed, certain or sure to appear in an exam. Do not use phrases such as “guaranteed questions” or “100% common”. Say “likely important topics” instead. Courses that make these claims are sent back or removed.
05Every course is reviewed
An admin reviews every course before it is published, and checks significant changes to published courses. We may ask for changes, reject a course or unpublish it. We tell you why, so you can fix it and send it again. A review is not a guarantee of quality or accuracy: your content stays your responsibility.
06Paid selling
Free courses need a complete teacher profile and these terms. To sell a course you also need to add payout details and be verified by an admin, which you can request once in Teacher Studio. Until you are verified, your uploads are limited. We may remove verification if the evidence turns out to be wrong; your paid courses then stop selling until it is sorted out.
07Commission and payouts
ShikkhaSathi keeps a commission on each sale. Your rate is shown in Teacher Studio, and we will tell you before it changes. Your share of a sale is held for a short period so that refunds can be handled, then you can withdraw it to your payout method. Details are in Earnings & payouts. You are responsible for any tax on your income.
08Refunds
Students can get a refund under our Refund Policy. When a sale is refunded, your share of it is reversed. If the amount has already been paid out, it is taken from your future earnings.
09Complaints and takedowns
Anyone who believes your content infringes their rights can email copyright@shikkhasathi.com. We may hide the content while we review it, and we will tell you about the claim so that you can respond. We remove content that infringes someone’s rights, and we may suspend teachers who repeatedly break these terms.
10If you stop teaching
- You can turn off teaching in Settings once you have unlisted your courses. Turning it off does not remove anyone’s access: students who enrolled keep the course for the access period they signed up for, and the licence continues for that purpose.
- Money you have earned stays yours, and you can still withdraw it. You can turn teaching back on at any time.
11Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we show you the new version and ask you to accept it before your next submission. Questions? Email support@shikkhasathi.com.
